You must be exciting to see the word "Poe" in this game title if you are a lover of detective story. Yeah! You are right, this game is adapted from the detective story entitled The Gold Bug authored by Poe. This game begins with a troublesome letter sent from a man named Legrand. In this letter, Legrand asks his friend Dupin to visit his island home to discuss a matter so urgent and important that he dare not say anything about it in a letter. So you and Dupin sail off to the island and begin your investigation. Besides, the game features a large amount of exploration. Each area is rather open-ended, and you need to perform those tasks included in other similar games, including gathering items, combining them with other objects to create tools, and then looking over previous areas for spots in which to use them, along with the various puzzles you might come across, actually greatly outweighs the amount of time spent within HOS. You also should know that there are seven chapters to work through, taking you from the island's town square and shipping dock to pirate ships, a light house, armory, and cave. Once completed, you can unlock a bonus level as well. So this will the perfect adventure game for you, just try it!
